The Lockdown: Lasershield - convenient, cost effective, potentially vulnerable {Engadget}
Jan 31st 2008 4:35PM Yes but a dog can, and in many examples has, taken a bullet/knife for their owner (in the news all the time) the monitered alarm, will just call the cops to come find my body. It would crush me to have one of my dogs killed, but better than me or wife or daughter.

DOG
Not one of those little yappers a real dog, a German Shepard(mix) can easily be found in the pound and you get a great companion! I have three dogs so I am a bit crazy, but let me tell you I can leave the house wide open and no robber is coming near me.

Apperantly you have never been to TJ or any of the border states, last time I checked that was in the north or Mexico. If what you meant to say is "And poor people live in the south OF THE USA, not in the north (CANADA), nor in the center (USA)" then you are probably correct.

Ask Engadget: Best digital camera for the price? {Engadget}
Aug 2nd 2007 7:26PM My personal opinion buy a camera you will carry with you all the time that takes great pictures in all lighting conditions. The only cameras that can live up to that are the Fuji Compacts. The best of the bunch are the F30/31 but the take XD cards (yuck), you can go with the F40 that takes SD cards but has very slightly worse night performance. Don't believe me look at the reviews at

As for DSLR they are all so good it is hard to wrong. For your first one I would stick with Pentax as they give you the most bang for the buck, especially the K100D and K10D that give you image stabilazation. If you have a room full of Canon or Nikon lenses stick with them. High end DSLR is really a battle between Canon and Nikon with Canon possibly have the slight edge (if you want to spend $5k+)

Aug 1st 2007 2:27PM Hey Engadget I thought you were going to start monitoring your comments. Is the one single poster here that gets as many negative comments as paloooz(er).
Of course it is more fun to feed the trolls. Like yesterday I felt bad for a little bird with one leg, the other was all shrivled and unusable so I throw him a piece of bread. My wife points to the sign that read "For health reason please do not feed the birds."
