Oh, the (disrespect to) humanity! Hummer H3 arrives in the UK packaged like a toy {Autoblog Green}
Oct 1st 2007 3:55PM Well fortrunately, top gear had reviewed an H2, and said it was crap. That show is popular, so I think no worries of that thing selling.
Gasoline costs mroe in England than US. The main host said the torque converter (UK drives stick shift anyway) is really loud. there are many things for the english to laugh about.
Ontario proposes the world's first hydrogen commuter train {Autoblog Green}
Sep 22nd 2007 5:41PM "Using the fuel cells would allow the train to run without wires or power rails. McGuinty wants the first train launched by 2010."
This is the only reason this has an advantage over regular electric trains. I think this is a weak reason. Hydrogen costs way more than the tried/tested electric rail.
The only way this is advantageous is if this train travels interstate distances.
Tokyo Preview: New 2009 Honda Fit leaks onto the web {Autoblog Green}
Sep 21st 2007 4:31PM It's only two inches longer and 0.8 wider (exterior dimensions). I wouldn'tve minded if it was wider by much more. Wideness usually doesn't hurt.
The car has ten cupholders up from 5, which is the most suprising upgrade.
This car comes out in US a lil later, late 2008. I hope a diesel drivetrain comes out by then. I currently drive a MT Fit, and a clean diesel car (accord, fit, or anything) is the only thing that can replace my beloved Fit.
Solar Roadways: Using roads to generate power {Autoblog Green}
Sep 18th 2007 9:58PM I fantasized about this before. I think one thing I thought of was that dirt and sand will be annoying. Unless the city pays for the cleaning of roads with all its electricity revenue.
Project Gotham Racing 4 to feature an "Electric Vs. Petrol Showdown"! {Autoblog Green}
Sep 18th 2007 4:33PM A tesla may beat a ferrarri in a drag race, but it only has 240hp, not enough to win a race. Unless the lotus chassis is more agile than I think it is.
GM: battery rental payments weekly, might cost the same as gas {Autoblog Green}
Sep 6th 2007 4:45PM I think this is dumb. My philosophy is living green is a "luxury" lifestyle. I find it faulty for GM to try to make this car affordable to everyone. No one who is planning to drive an electric car expects an electric car to have a low price tag. Why is GM fixing something that isn't broke?
Editorial: Why must cars continue to get larger and larger? {Autoblog Green}
Sep 3rd 2007 3:14PM Fortunately, the new V6 has great mileage. If you look at the mileages, they're impressive for large cars. In fact, i don't think these cars are much heavier, despite their external size. Bigger =! heavier. In japan, a big portion of the nose is hollow, so don't let the size fool you into thinking theres a lot of metal.
I also can't wait for the diesel. Im a proud owner of a fit, but if the diesel gets better mileage, which is possible even for a "large sedan", then I'd get that. Of course, if there are engine swappers to put a diesel engine into a fit...
Dreaming of cruising Woodward Ave in a hybrid Chevy Camaro {Autoblog Green}
Aug 18th 2007 12:18PM is it me or does the new chevy camaro (non-convertible) looks like the volt?
New British PM opts for gas-guzzling Jaguar instead of Prius {Autoblog Green}
Jul 6th 2007 11:57AM This is another reason we need the Tesla (or that ZAP CUV), or those sport hybrids to come out! The prius is a huge undrivable sloth if you're a rich politician used to the "finer" (relatively speaking) things.
Hybrid Civic driver averages 32 mpg, files class action lawsuit against Honda {Autoblog Green}
Jul 6th 2007 11:22AM What does suing honda do? The EPA numbers are by the EPA not honda. And didn't honda reduce the civic hybrid's original EPA (this is before the new system), becuase it was too high (like the prius) and honda didn't want people to be disappointed like they were with the prius's #s?
