2009 Subaru Impreza WRX gets upgraded to 265 hp {Autoblog}
Jul 18th 2008 5:30PM I like how when the '08 car came out everybody complained that it felt slow, didn't handle well, didn't look very good, etc.
So Subaru goes and upgrades the power, handling and looks, and what does everyone say? "Oh, Subaru is going to piss off its '08 owners. Plus the fuel economy is going to suffer."
How can you say that DOING WHAT EVERY POTENTIAL BUYER WANTED is not a sound business decision?

Jul 17th 2008 12:26PM Yup those are the brakes (and wheels) from the '07 Spec-C RA-R. Hawt.
Spy Shots: Subaru WRX STI spec C {Autoblog}
Jul 17th 2008 12:20PM Don't expect to see it here, at least in anything close to Japanese specification. The lightening process has serious repurcussions for safety, so it is doubtful that the JDM Spec-C would meet US crash specs.
I still hold out hope for a lightened, hardened US model though. Even if it's not as bitchin' as the Spec-C.

Officially Official: Harley-Davidson purchases MV Agusta, Cagiva {Autoblog}
Jul 11th 2008 2:21PM Should be interesting to see if the Harley puchase does any damage to the equity of the MV Agusta brand. Some people will certainly depart for other products if the partnership does "give more buyers access" to Agustas- brand snobs hate that. However, if they remain exotic and hardcore, and the Harley cash just goes into better quality and improved management, this could be a very good move for both companies.

Jul 8th 2008 7:26PM ...which is exactly why it's awesome. We need completely insane cars to be produced from time to time to remind us why we love automobiles in general.
Kudos to them for actually building this thing.

Stunning Kia Forte revealed! {Autoblog}
Jul 2nd 2008 8:30AM I'm with you. I see new TSX in the headlamps and a lot of the older version in the rest of the car. Of course it's all at 3/4 scale, but still. To be honest, it does pretty well without the giant-metal-tooth grille Acura introduced on the second-gen car.
Of course, none of the people who buy Kias give a damn about derivative styling. It looks good and they'll probably sell jillions of them.
