BMW Gran Turismo development gets serious {Autoblog}
Dec 19th 2007 9:13PM A nice looking ride, that I could never afford. Does anyone else see a hint of 1962 Dart in the character lines?

Indian automaker indeed targeting U.S. {Autoblog}
Feb 2nd 2007 9:42AM If it's cheap enough, somebody will buy it - especially a basic pickup.
FWIW, recent Indian immigrants may prefer a familiar brand....
Changfeng wants to bring Chinese pickups/SUVs to the US {Autoblog}
Jan 11th 2007 4:20PM Many Americans, if not most, have voted with their wallets in deciding to buy Chinese made consumer goods. As long as these trucks/suvs are of decent quality, no need need to be class leading, and they are dirt cheap, they will find buyers. I believe they pose more of a threat to the Japanese in the full-size pickup market, as the Japanese have not yet established a loyal base. In small SUVs and pickups, the domestics are vulnerable, as their products are lagging...Ford, do you hear the footsteps?
Detroit Auto Show: Bread & Butter - The Chrysler Group's Minivan Unveiling {Autoblog}
Jan 7th 2007 9:25PM This is a terrific van and will sell well. That said, by discontinuing the value priced and more utilitarian short-wheelbase models, overall sales will suffer.
2008 Dodge Grand Caravan brings its A-game {Autoblog}
Jan 5th 2007 3:48PM DCX stays in the game with a competitive, attractive offering. Any thoughts as to what impact discontinuing the SWB model might have? I see probably a 15 -20% hit in overall sales, albeit low margin sales, mostly to fleet buyers and bargain hunters. One advantage the DCX vans has had over Toyota/Honda is in initial price - If they try to go head to head in the 30k+ arena, they might come out bloodied. Keep them affordable, they will continue to dominate.
REPORT: Ford Transit Connect to be sold in U.S. {Autoblog}
Jan 2nd 2007 10:41PM I realize this is a different class of vehicle, but could this be Ford's way of sneaking back into the minivan arena in the US?
Can the Superbus revolutionize public transport? {Autoblog}
Oct 10th 2006 12:55PM As a longtime commuter train, and occasional bus commuter, one question remains unasked:
What if you need to use the bathroom?
Toyota to launch Eco Drive indicator {Autoblog}
Oct 1st 2006 9:31PM Sometimes simple works - my '84 Tempo had no tach, just an "upshift indicator" light. As if the sound of all 82 horses screaming for mercy wasn't enough!

Sep 22nd 2006 9:55AM More Ridgeline haters!
Your criticisms are way off base, because Ridgelines are innovative, easy to fit in a garage, and never carry a load in the bed, anyway, besides the ice cold fish to throw to the bear.
Electric vehicles pose concerns for blind pedestrians {Autoblog Green}
Sep 22nd 2006 9:40AM How about some sort of sonar / radar activated device which is held by the pedestrian? This would be useful regardless of location (crosswalks, parking lots, jaywalking...). The proliferation of cell phones, PDAs, GPS devices, etc, would seem to indicate that this is convenient enough for users.
