Jan 7th 2007 2:07PM 16. Power utilities have a lot of extra power capacity in the evening, when most PHEVs would be charged. I read recently that we could go 80% of passenger vehicles as PHEVs with current capacity. CO2 would be greatly diminished at utilities vs every tailpipe. Cost for most people would be about 1/4 of gasoline at $2.50/g.

Jan 7th 2007 2:04PM I agree with comment number 1. Build it now. If it gets 10 miles electric only, that would get me to work every day. Gas on the way home at 50 mpg would net me 100 mpg. I'll take that. Please. Today.
