First Drive [w/VIDEO]: 2009 Lincoln MKS {Autoblog}
Jun 6th 2008 1:48PM Why does Lincoln use such crappy fonts on their gauges? The IC on this car looks cheap, and IMO, it's because they use such an un-classy, generic font for the speedo and tach.
All touch-points and frequent sight-points should be upgraded and made to look more "Lincoln". These all scream "Ford".
Paul McCartney's Lexus LS600H delivered by plane {Autoblog Green}
May 15th 2008 4:58PM I love the irony: Lexus gives a car to one of the wealthiest men in the world. Like Sir Paul really needs a handout......
Funny how the wealthiest folks always get the freebies (Yeah, I know; "cheap" promotion for Lexus. I understand the concept....)
It has a nice personality: Ford boosts Focus production by 30% to meet demand {Autoblog}
Apr 15th 2008 4:13PM If the Ugly Duckling Focus is flying off of dealers lots, then the up-and-coming Fiesta (Verve) will leave showrooms like a Lear Jet! At least that car has some personality...
I am very happy for Ford's success too. Too bad that the Fiesta isn't ready today; $4 per gallon gasoline would have folks lined up at the dealers doors to get one.
Smart USA sales off to good start; will they last? {Autoblog Green}
Apr 10th 2008 10:09AM I really like the idea of the Smart, and I truly hope that it succeeds here in the states. However, the other posters are correct in that there are better alternatives for the same (or a little more) money. Fit, Yaris, & Versa all offer the similar fuel economy in a more practical package. Hate to sound like an old fart here (I'm 44), but the other cars make more sense. Until Smart improves the fuel economy and fixes the horribly balky transmission, I'll admire it from the drivers seat of my new Fit.
The Smart is intended as a chic city car, and there it hits it's mark. It's a statement. I sure hope that a better statement can be made in the future by improving the aforementioned shortcomings.

Luxury greenwashing, Lexus-style {Autoblog Green}
Apr 7th 2008 7:02PM What a joke....And I own two Lexus vehicles.
I'm switching to Honda.
Lexus execs spills the beans: GS F model, 1-series fighter, hybrid galore {Autoblog}
Apr 7th 2008 10:35AM I own two "Lexi", but am dumping my IS300 and buying a Honda Fit or Ford Fiesta (2010) in lieu of another Lexus. Why? Because all of their vehicles suck gas like crazy, and the L-Finesse design does nothing to excite me...at all. Yes, I know, the Honda Fit is far from a stunner, but it's reliable and will get twice the fuel economy that my current IS gets.
I love Lexus' quality and reliability, but they can't serve me up a nice looking car that gives me economy at the pump. Thier hybrid program is a joke....1-2 mpg better than their standard cars? HA! Not worth the extra $$$$ for the sake of being green. I would go to a Toyota Corolla or a Yaris, but the Corolla is boring, and the Yaris is a little too small.
Just my opinion.....
Spy Shots: MINI Crossman flashes its rump {Autoblog}
Apr 2nd 2008 1:13PM Why can't Mini stick to it's name: Mini
I'm sick of every manufacturer trying to be everything to everyone. Why can't Mini stick to what it does best, and manufacture a small, fun to drive, safe, and attractive MINI vehicle? Instead, they will crank out an ugly CUV/SUV that leaves their roots in the dust, and gives us another hideous truck offering.
How about spending those development Euros on cleaning up their Mini D diesel's emissions and sending some here to the states? It would certainly cost them less, and guarantee continued sales for the Mini line.
IMHO, there are already TOO many SUV/CUV/trucks/whateverthehellyouwannacallthem out there already. ENOUGH!
NuRide and Dunkin' Donuts reward carpoolers {Autoblog Green}
Mar 31st 2008 12:20PM Hot coffee and powdered donuts make for dangerous driving. We don't need any more caffine-fueled fatso's aiming their cars down our highways!
Bad Dunkin' Donuts....BAD!

Info on Honda's new global hybrid {Autoblog Green}
Mar 28th 2008 1:49PM Sounds like a winner to me!
How about Honda serving up a "Smart-buster", and giving us a cool little city /commuter car with great mpg's and Honda-quality levels of fit and finish? It would certainly be a winner.
The Clarity is a great idea, but the technology is a way's away, and it's somewhat fugly.
