The karma of lithium ion batteries: how Tibet plays a role in green car technology {Autoblog Green}
Mar 30th 2008 10:03PM Funny how the news don't say how before Chinese took over Tibet, the people were forced to become peasants with no schooling allowed. Beautiful women and little girls were forced to have sex with Dalai Lama and other nobles.
When China took over children went to school and Dalai Lama had no power over its people. No person or family was forced to be a servant.

Oct 5th 2007 11:02AM Even with 3$ a gallon Americans buy trucks..."
No kidding. You could sell a gun in Iraq for huge profits.
America buys trucks for protection from other SUVs since 40000 people a year are dying on the road.
Car companies the new War Lords and yet they are so humble about it.

Oct 4th 2007 6:15PM The only reason people are buying these huge SUVs doing 15 MPG is because they feel safer in them.
If the government prohibited truck bumpers to be 1 feet above regular bumpers at least on the highways (Or have them equiped with runover barriers that keep them from crushing a car) then everyone could buy a normal sized fuel-efficient car.

Oct 4th 2007 3:32PM I don't see Switchgrass ethanol as a viable option. Ethanol degrades quickly and easily. Switchgrass has very little easily breakable sugars which makes it a very processing-inefficient alcohol. We don't see liquor being made from cheap beetgreens or chicory because of this sugar problem. We do see artichoke liquor but this is extremely expensive.

Oct 3rd 2007 6:12PM The solution is investing billions of dollars in EVs, Hybrids and Algae from smokestack emissions rather than in petroleum fertilized plant fuels and petroleum-derived hydrogen gas.

this inane comment is for you.
Volcanoes produce the worst pollution but then produce the most fertile soil throughout their surrounding land.
Coal powerplants spew out the same pollution but make the most infertile and damaged surroundings.

Oct 3rd 2007 3:49PM Japanese are the strongest communist based country around. They believe they are the best and deserve the most power as a people rather then as individuals in capitalist countries.
In 1941 they tricked us. In 2007, they beat us in the auto industry. Way before 2022 they will takeover all auto sales in America because they were ready since 2008 with fuel-efficient cars.
