Is John McCain's $300m battery prize a good idea? Pelosi chimes in {Autoblog Green}

Jun 24th 2008 1:51PM "Bill and Al failed for 8 years to increase CAFE. We have short memories. If Clinton and Gore had the "balls" to have done the right thing, we would not be in the mess we are now in. Where was Pelosi then? Where she is now, doing nothing of much importance."

Republicans have had control of the White House alot more than Dems the last 30 years so, its on you. Reagan actually took down working solar panels off the White House. http://www.jimmycarterlibrary.org/newsreleases/2007/07-18.pdf
Carter was right, Reagan turned it around to F us all, and republicans are still denying climate change and giving subsidies to the most profitable companies in the world's history.

You lose. Find a leg to stand on.

Jun 16th 2008 2:37PM When you replace the fuel cell with a battery, it will be a nice efficient car, but not before.

Lawrence Livermore researchers develop new hydrogen tank {Autoblog Green}

Jun 10th 2008 9:55AM Because of thermodynamics, hydrogen cannot compete with electric cars. The only upside to hydrogen cars is that they will eventually figure out they can replace the fuel cell with a battery and get HUGE efficiency gains... huge.

Republican presidential hopefuls pander to California on CO2 emissions {Autoblog Green}

Jan 31st 2008 3:35PM @Mike Z,

No worries, I will be speaking to Obama regarding electric cars. No more of this coal liquification nonsense.

The BMW Hydrogen 7 on display in Australia early next year {Autoblog Green}

Dec 13th 2007 5:46PM "BMW is manufacturing the first series of hydrogen fueled cars. They're not as green as they seem. For a start, they're incredibly thirsty -- and they will put more strain on the environment than a heavy diesel truck."

"Physics is eternal and cannot be changed by governments. Therefore by laws of physics:
Hydrogen can never compete with its own energy source. A “Hydrogen Economy” has no past, no present and no future"

Instead, do electric cars.

Magnetic Power Inc.'s GENIE technology is supposed to do eight great things {Autoblog Green}

Nov 26th 2007 11:14AM There's open-minded, then there is foolish.

There's no need to be "open-minded" that perpetual motion machines or free energy schemes will work because the laws of thermodynamics tell you they cannot.

There's reason to be skeptical of any claims that are not supported by evidence. That's the opposite of foolish, but that is not closed-minded.
