Jun 30th 2008 6:24PM Because the price of gas is going through the roof, people are holding back their money. The American Auto companies are literally hurting and are being trampled by foreign car companies.
They know they NEED to make electric cars in order to survive and to beat out Japanese vehicles. If they don't, they are basically committing suicide.

For people who want electric vehicles, we still remember the EV-1 disaster, and we will NOT let that happen to us. We either buy, or keep the money. The sooner that car companies realize this, the better it is. After all, WE (the consumer) keep their business alive. If they don't provide what we want, we go elsewhere.
