Mark Fields under fire for expensive flights home {Autoblog}
Nov 15th 2006 9:03PM The $ spent flying Fields back and forth isn't the issue here. It was a negotiated part of his compensation package - so be it. What bothers me is that he isn't smart enough to understand how this is viewed by labor, media, and his own people. He has allowed himself to become a distraction to the task at hand - saving FMC. Why can't the guy fly first class on the company dime? Would be much less controversal.
Ford Focus FCV in the AutoblogGreen Garage, part 1 - hydrogen tech {Autoblog Green}
Oct 31st 2006 3:48PM I'm don't see much value in critisizing Ford on their "slick" grahics. The fact that they're one of the few OEM's running significant fuel cell demonstration vehicles out in real-world applications (not just the lab)is evidence that they're working to better understand and ultimately solve the scientific challenge of running hydrogen-powered-vehicles. GM talks about their prowess in running fuel cell vehicles and all I ever see are "press events" and quotes about what they're going to do a year from now. At least Ford goes out and quietly develops and demonstrates the technology today!!!! I prefer to encourage them.
Taylor, MI joins the hydrogen economy {Autoblog Green}
Oct 18th 2006 11:54AM I'm impressed with Ford's progress on the fuel cell front. With all of the hype coming from GM about vehicles that will hit the street next year, Ford quietly goes about moving the technology forward with vehicles on the road - TODAY!!! Congrats.
