Spy Shots: Nissan 370Z caught undisguised {Autoblog}
Oct 8th 2008 4:30PM I was a little concerned about the headlights on the new Maxima when I initially saw the press shots, but I saw two on the road yesterday, one on the highway and one in the city, and the headlight design did not detract from the overall design of the car - quite handsome. Hoping the same holds true for this new Z.
Aston Martin DBS gets Touchtronic tranny {Autoblog}
Sep 30th 2008 8:38AM I love this car. Automatic transmission + a pair of rear seats would probably shift the character of this car more to a grand touring than a sports car. Fine, I still love this car.
Paris 2008: Chevy Orlando unceremoniously revealed online {Autoblog}
Sep 24th 2008 1:40PM Compare the Orlando to the Mazda5 which is a 6-seater with 3 rows. In these C-segment people movers, there is very little space behind the 3rd row for cargo when the 3rd row is upright.
Compare the Traverse (Lambda platform) which is a 7- or 8-seater with 3 rows to the Mazda CX-9, which offer relatively spacious seating along with decent cargo capacity with all seats filled. The Lambda platform is much longer and wider than the Delta II platform and is designed to have a higher payload and towing capacity.
First automated motorcycle wash opens in U.S. {Autoblog}
Sep 20th 2008 2:22PM Surprised one of these hasn't already opened in Daytona, FL. Bike Week typically draws a huge number of bikes including choppers, tourings, and sport bikes.
Spawn of Volt: More details on more variants {Autoblog}
Sep 19th 2008 11:27AM I would be quite happy with a slightly smaller Opel/Saturn Flextreme (hatch/wagon) model if GM were able to offer under $30K w/ at least 20 mile electric range.

VIDEO: New Citroen C4 actually a dancing robot {Autoblog}
Sep 18th 2008 5:37PM Not the first time Citroen has used a dancing/transforming car robot in their advertising.
Ceravision developing headlights that use microwave oven technology {Autoblog}
Sep 18th 2008 9:15AM Interesting technology. Curious to see what pricing would be relative to HID lights currently offered.
Volt's EPA rating could be cut by new standards {Autoblog}
Sep 8th 2008 9:13AM "GM argues that altering the test in the way the EPA proposes -- requiring the Volt [to] finish the test with batteries near full charge..."
Certainly makes you wonder if the EPA requires gas-powered cars to complete the EPA test with a full tank of gas?

Not bad but the price is a killer.
Cadillac considering four-cylinder sedan for 2010 {Autoblog}
Aug 25th 2008 10:12AM A shorter RWD sedan/wagon with GM's 2.0L turbo (tuned up to 300hp) from the Sky/Solstice would likely make for a competitive 1-series fighter. Pricing would be the primary challenge as the CTS starts at $34,420, so this BLS(?) if produced for the states would probably start just under $30K.
If the BLS for the states is the same one sold in Europe (Saab 9-3 based), no thanks. Cadillac may as well swap the base V6 in the CTS for the 2.0L turbo if they would like to market a 4-cylinder as a more fuel-efficient option.
