Whoopi is kicking butts -- you can too {That's Fit}
Nov 2nd 2007 9:08AM I came down with the flu one fine June day, and as all smokers know, you can not smoke during this illness and recovery period. So, I was a non-smoker for about two weeks. When I got to the two week period and wanted to try a cigarette, I told myself that I had been through the toughest part of quitting, the first two weeks, already. I didn't light up that minute, that hour, that day, and I continued the next day, one hour at a time. It has now been six years. I still love the smell of smoke, but I no longer crave the things. I do feel a lot better, and my stamina at work is better than most of the younger people working with me. I'm a bit heavier than before, but oh well. I smoked for over 30 years, and I hope my quitting even at a late stage will prolong my life.
'Big Brother' Player's Anti-Semitic Rant {AOL Video Blog}
Aug 10th 2007 1:06PM It seems that Big Brother has allowed someone who is small minded into the midst of the show. Amber is evidently and obviously white trash who hasn't grown up yet, who hasn't learned manners, who hasn't learned of the values of diversity. Amber should go, out the door, never to return. Big Brother, are you listening? Isn't being an anti-Semite on a par with physical violence, which has occured and was taken care of by removing the offender?
Electric vehicles pose concerns for blind pedestrians {Autoblog Green}
Sep 22nd 2006 3:53PM I remember in California, heavily populated with deer, you can buy a plastic thing that hooks into your radiator grill. The wind from the moving car makes the plastic thing whistle, allowing deer on the road ahead to get frightened of the oncoming noise and moving off the road. A similar attachment to electric vehicles would allow a dopplar effect for the blind to judge the distance and speed of oncoming cars...wouldn't it?
