Many dealers report selling out of Jetta TDI, Tiguan TDI possible {Autoblog Green}

Jul 14th 2008 9:09PM Good news about the pre-orders for the Jetta. Why not offer some choice with a TDI Tiguan CUV? Even better would be a TDI Rabbit without a lot of electronic gizmos so it's more reliable and lighter than Jetta!

US BMW 335d to be automatic transmission only {Autoblog Green}

Jul 11th 2008 3:37PM The '80s American-sold 524TD was also automatic only but with the new one they should let the customer decide the type of transmission they want to order.

Does the new model have a torque converter or is it SMG?

Jul 2nd 2008 7:07PM A bloated V6 SUV that won't even burn e85 and weighs over 4300 lbs is not green. Sorry Fonzie!

ASTM approves new biodiesel blends, bring on the B20! {Autoblog Green}

Jun 25th 2008 9:54PM Great news ABG! I like using B20 so the ASTM stamp of approval is great. Now let's hope VW, *BMW*, Nissan, MB, *Subaru*, Honda get on board with B20. Let the consumer decide if they want to put B0, B5 or B20 in the tank. A lot of "green" labels today are just feel good hype. Biodiesel is a waste product. I want to burn American sourced fuel and now I'll know that 20% of the fuel is that!

Jun 23rd 2008 10:50PM Better to wait for the BMW twin turbo "Blue Performance" diesels. They use AdBlue also but its covered for four years.
I wish the germans would agree to using B20 fuel in North America - that would reduce pollution and foreign oil imports.

Detroit 2008: Kia shows off the new 3.0L diesel V-6 they are testing {Autoblog Green}

Jan 16th 2008 8:56PM Good! I hope Kia will write in the owners manual that the car can be run on biodiesel. Up to B20 would be nice.

New CAFE requirements help turn Detroit's eye back to diesels {Autoblog Green}

Jan 2nd 2008 8:16PM By putting biodiesel in the tank it cleans up the emissions a lot. I think B20 is the practical way to go. We have many B20 pumps around Seattle and more B99 pumps than B20. Only down-side is the NOX and it costs a little more.

Chevy Tahoe LTZ gets 6.2L V8 {Autoblog}

Dec 26th 2007 3:45PM Where is the option for the DuraMax Diesel in Chevy/GMC SUVs and Hummers? Biodiesel is much better than e85 and diesels are always better for towing heavy cargo.
