Jun 13th 2008 1:50PM While it seems like the plan is going back to business as usual making the iphone like any other cell phone, as far as the buying and activation goes. I sort of see this as the first hints of Iphone ditching AT&T as its sole American provider. We all know the reason its AT&T exclusive is they were the only people willing to give job's his unconventional plan in the first place. Now that apple is seeing they can still make money in the conventional plan I can see them opening up to everybody and their brother. (as what Palm is doing with the Centro, or HTC does with its handsets)

Now I'm not suggesting this unscrupulous act or anything.. but the concept is valid right?

May 14th 2008 2:16PM Its suicide if they don't make the drumkit functionality compatible with rock band. A lot of the market that wants more than a guitar will have already bought Rockband. This means if its not compatible they'll lose a lot of customers, unless they're not fully committed to the whole band idea, then they'll just sell a lot of copies to people who have the GHIII and GHII guitars already, but not much new equipment.

May 14th 2008 11:13AM Yeah 20 bucks does seem steep but I guess 7 to 10 hours is a decent amount of gameplay for the money. I'll have to see more reviews as it comes out to see what people say about the depth before i spend 20 on it.
My other idea is could they possibly make the previous episode less money when the next one comes out? Maybe cut it down to 15 when ep2 comes.. or 10 even that'd be cool.

May 1st 2008 9:41AM Yeah but when you factor in the 2-year contract that should be subsidizing this thing, its terrible. Its like saying the gps part is 300, which is fair, and the phone part is 400, which is rediculous (with 200 off to make it 500, after 2 year contract). Plus who knows if there is any guarantee this thing will work without phone service.

Apr 29th 2008 2:42PM Yeah.. well half dead rockers will die like the dinasours. Music industry needs to wake up and see Rock Band and guitar hero has platforms for their music and not just an extra revenue stream that they can afford to bandy about with exclusives. In the end the smart people will realize they should put their stuff out on as many systems as they can, because they hit the most people that way, thus making them more money in the end, than any exclusive deal could garner them.
