Richard Viguerie: Blame a liberal for high energy prices {Autoblog Green}

Jul 8th 2008 5:35PM I might note that the "liberals who believe that the oil supply is fixed or declining," include T. Boone Pickens, who pegs 2005 as peak production.

For the US the answer is clear: production peaked in 1972. That's not even in question. No amount of drilling now will reverse that trend.

Is tectonic activity the real source of oil? Should we be using it? {Autoblog Green}

Apr 21st 2008 12:38AM Lord, someone is still spreading this crap?

This is a profoundly stupid theory that completely ignores the geochemistry, stratigraphy, and history of oil exploration. It could only have been developed by someone who was completely ignorant of geology, and that it's still being passed around is a testimony to gullibility.

First it was the "hey, it was a cold winter at my house, so global warming is a farce!" post, and now this. What's next?

Apr 16th 2008 5:39PM I've worked 20 years for a coal company that spends millions each year putting out that "global warming myth" info. You know, I told them that no one was stupid enough to believe this crap, that people would simply check the real science, that they'd figure out what we were doing was exactly the same as the doctors hired to say cigarettes were healthy. Eh, shows what I know.

ASUS Eee PC 900 gets unboxed {Engadget}

Apr 12th 2008 12:05PM I'd like to see one that takes advantage of the touchscreen and simply ditches the touchpad. I used an old Sharp Tripad (Vadem Clio equivalent) as my writing tool for years, and there was nothing nicer than just tapping where I wanted the cursor to be.

Since the Tripad died, I've been looking for a machine that light and handy. The touchscreen is essential.
