Total as an Oil Robin Hood? A call for big oil company profits to go back to the people {Autoblog Green}

Jun 10th 2008 12:28AM Maybe our Commie friend missed it but, being a publicly traded company, Total S.A. already has pledged 100% of its profits back to 'the people', namely its shareholders. It should warm her bleeding heart to know that ANYBODY can become a shareholder for about the price of a tank of gas.

So yeah, let's 'heavily tax' the oil companies to give them a disincentive to produce more oil and drive up the cost of fuel even more. No country ever taxed itself to prosperity.

Tesla CTO provides update on Roadster Drivetrain 1.5 {Autoblog Green}

May 28th 2008 11:12PM Blah, blah, blah... more crap from Tesla. Don't those of you cheerleading for Tesla get that this company will be a failure? It will never make a dime and it will be bankrupt before it can even hope to deliver any cars to anyone not affiliated with the company. You all cry about what liars GM and Exxon are but you defend the biggest liar around: Tesla

Facts on the ground may push NHTSA to toughen CAFE rules {Autoblog Green}

May 17th 2008 8:52PM "Perhaps they should just forget gas tax holidays and other silliness and just let the market take its course this time."

Apparently, you have a double-standard. If you were true to your statement above then we wouldn't have CAFE rules in the first place, would we? Instead of carrying a torch for the socialists who would have us all driving hybrid Lada's why don't YOU let the market take its course and let car builders build what they want and let consumers purchase what they want without whining about carbon footprints, emissions and the global warming hocus pocus?

Tesla sends out a new production update to customers {Autoblog Green}

May 15th 2008 11:02PM So, you could have titled the piece:

"Tesla hasn't produced any real cars yet, breaking promise on starting production (again); doesn't plan to build any cars for another year."

I only wish Tesla was public so that those of you hyping this dog of a company could lose your shirts along with those foolish enough to put up cash deposits. It's one excuse after another with Tesla. I hope they have a good one ready for their bankruptcy next year.

AutoblogGreen pays a visit to the new Tesla Motors store {Autoblog Green}

May 11th 2008 10:31PM Tell us more about the 'there aren't actually any cars for sale' part about the Tesla store. I predict here and now that you enviro-nutjobs will still be posting pro-Tesla blogs even after it goes bankrupt and disappears from the planet. You'll also conveniently forget about the pile of toxic batteries left over for somebody else to clean up.

Tesla, let's review:

1) Their 'production' cars have 'temporary' transmissions.

2) They haven't produced a single 'production' car for anybody not connected to the company.

3) They don't actually have any cars for sale at the Tesla store.

Any other company making the same claims that Tesla makes would have their officers brought up on fraud charges. Tesla skates because it is politically correct.

Earth Day: How far must you drive your hybrid before it pays off? {Autoblog Green}

Apr 23rd 2008 12:36AM Don't forget the cost of looking like a complete homo in your Prius. You might never get laid again!

GM comments on NHTSA proposal for fuel economy rules {Autoblog Green}

Apr 22nd 2008 10:38PM I need a 300hp car and then some. I couldn't give a crap about efficiency. If you like driving some silly little car, then buy one for yourself. I'll take the huge, gas sucking engine.

Earth Day: How far must you drive your hybrid before it pays off? {Autoblog Green}

Apr 22nd 2008 10:32PM So to sum it all up: Hybrids ain't worth it. Why did you need to write any more than that?

Automakers Respond to New Nationwide Fuel Economy Proposal {Autoblog Green}

Apr 22nd 2008 10:19PM Of course they aren't critical of the law, what do they care? The automakers are going to make you pay to hit that goal. You'll pay through the nose for hybrids (that cost more per mile to drive than their gas counterparts) and then they'll hit the rest of us who haven't been sucked into the phony 'global warming' story and the even phonier 'we're running out of oil' story since we'll want evil 'normal' vehicles.

UAW strike halts GM's CUV production {Autoblog}

Apr 19th 2008 8:07PM "If being an auto worker is such a couch job, why aren't you leaving your current situation to join the ranks of the unionized?"

Because it's a great job FOR THE STUPID, OTHERWISE UNEMPLOYABLE DROPOUT. I'm not one of them.

"Of course, it's unions. Pay no attention to a) the fact that we import far more than we export, thanks in part to large corporations deciding that we're best at being a consumer-only market and b) a home construction industry reliant on the false dream that everyone should be able to afford a 300k home on a retail-level salary (again, thanks largely to offshoring / outsourcing)"

I think I see your union card sticking out. Please DO NOT ATTEMPT economic analysis in the future. Your G.E.D. is not equivalent to an education. a) we import more than we export BECAUSE BLOATED UNION LABOR COSTS MAKE U.S. PRODUCTS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN IMPORTED GOODS FROM CHINA and b) the recent housing boom was helped out to a great extent by things like the Community Reinvestment Act that REQUIRES banks to do business with uncreditworthy scumbags, like union members. No rational business lends money to these fools without the government pointing a gun to its head. Now the government wants to blame 'greedy' bankers for a problem the Feds created in the first place.
