GM stock drops below $10 per share {Autoblog}

Jul 4th 2008 3:08AM Axiom, GM's problems can't be fixed by the Volt. It literally has so many problems that it would take an act of God to keep the company afloat.

Either that or a massive government bailout. None of that would fix GM's biggest problem, though, which is terrible management

Rendered Speculation: Fiat Topolino by Paolo Martin {Autoblog}

Jul 2nd 2008 6:11PM Looks expensive but ugly nonetheless. Kinda like a Rolls Royce Phantom.

Or like Volkswagen decided to give an upscale version of the Beetle to Bentley.

Of course, it might look a little better if the artist spent more than five minutes on it. What the hell's up with the windows in that thing?

Brothel Bus busted in Miami {Autoblog}

Jul 2nd 2008 4:11PM Dan, you're the most disgusting waste of space I've ever seen.

PROSTITUTION IS EVIL SATAN MAKES PEOPLE DO IT

JESUS SEZ YOU'RE WRONG

Don't you see? If prostitutes aren't dangerous, then men will start using them. If men start using prostitutes, they will learn new sexual positions and start pleasuring their spouses/boyfriends/significant animals better, or will learn better "hand positions", if you catch my drift. This will undoubtedly lead to women feeling empowered and well-sexed, and the result would be President Hillary Clinton.

Do you really want that, Mr. Smarty-Pants Sex Guy? Or how about this...

"And talk about wasted resources... Police resources are wasted looking for consenting adults exchanging money for sex!

How crazy is that? Wow, still trying to figure out what part of 'to protect and to serve' that falls under. It certainly has nothing to do with protect."

When the police have nothing better to do than looking for adults exchanging money for sex, and they can't even do that, they'll begin having sex with each other. Do you know what cops mean when they say "we like donuts?" Didn't think so. You know why they call their police cars "cruisers?" Or why they have those little batons? I'll tell you why. They're one step away from being queer as a fruit salad at a gay pride parade, and when that is unleashed they'll be too busy looking at Gucci sweaters to protect us.

So, to reiterate: Keeping prostitution illegal keeps women from feeling good and empowered, and thus keeps Hillary Clinton from being made President. But, it has a more important reason: As long as our police officers are kept sexually-insecure and filled with pent-up sexual fantasies about one another, they can continue to use that inner rage (and their batons, of course) to brutalize people and give people speeding tickets to soothe their wounded egos and assert dominance.

Tesla confirms Model S sedan, 225-mile range and $60k {Autoblog}

Jun 30th 2008 3:56PM Also: Yo, Governor Richardson! How's about getting Nissan to build a new facility for their cheaper EV in Albuquerque? Or Chevy to build their Volt here?

Tesla confirms Model S sedan, 225-mile range and $60k {Autoblog}

You can keep 'em, Arnie.

'09 Challenger brochure hits the web, retro overload ensues {Autoblog}

Jun 30th 2008 3:19AM The 5.7 liter Hemi R/T will come with a dual-mode hybrid come year's end. The technology is there, already confirmed in the Ram Hemi Hybrid and Chrysler's going to use every tool they can find to raise their CAFE in time for 2015. If they don't do it they're stupid as hell. Even if it only got 21 miles per gallon it would be around level with a Camry or Accord.

How many people would choose a Challenger over a Camry Solara? Just about everyone with working eyes.

McCain has no plans for Detroit bailout {Autoblog}

Jun 29th 2008 11:15PM AZMike, the only reason Chrysler survived in the 1980s was because Lee Iacocca was a genius marketer who was not only able to market less-than competitive vehicles but was also able to successfully goad his workforce into accepting stocks in lieu of pay raises. The closest any of the big three have to Iacocca is Ford with Mulally and therefore I'd accept a Ford bailout.

I won't accept a GM or Chrysler bailout until they get better management. Both Bob Lutz and Bob Nardelli suck and should be fired before any money exchange take place.

VIDEO: Mike Levine attempts to fit himself in the Dodge RamBox {Autoblog}

Jun 29th 2008 4:07AM No, the Toyota A-BAT was gay, this is just mildly retarded.

Mike Levine trying to fit himself in the RamBox, I mean. I got more info on how big it was when they showed the promo shot with the tackle box and fishing rods.

Craigslist Find of the Day: The Prelude Si Ute that never was {Autoblog}

Jun 26th 2008 5:34PM That's an awesome concept. A four-banger car with a pickup bed. You know, so you get the economy of a car with the load room of a truck.

So why doesn't anybody take a rather boring but versatile vehicle like a Ford Focus station wagon and turn it into a crewcab version with a midgate? No new looks, just a vehicle with five seats and a bed. And good fuel economy, not 21 mpg like with the Subaru Baja.

Embattled Oshawa plant to get GM hybrid truck production, will still close in 2009 {Autoblog}

Jun 26th 2008 2:06PM This might just be proof that GM is going to get out of the hybrid market. Give hybrid production to a closing plant, because you know the trucks won't sell, then use that as evidence that hybrids won't sell.

Either that, or they'll just move production to another plant. Who knows? You pick.
