This or That: Reusable water bottles, SIGG or Klean Kanteen? {Green Daily}
Aug 16th 2008 3:52AM After the BPA news we promptly switched from our #7 bottles to SIGG bottles and have been very pleased with their "performance" thus far. There's absolutely no funky taste like you sometimes get with some plastic bottles. One thing about the SIGG bottles is they do dent. Also, I guess this mystery coating could, like a previous commenter opined, turn out to be potentially harmful in the future. Right now I'm giving SIGG a positive endorsement.
It's official: Congress passes 35 mpg CAFE standard {Autoblog Green}
Apr 2nd 2008 12:08AM It takes a lot to get politicians to compromise on bipartisan measures such as this. Obvious skyrocketing oil prices and and the accompanying public outcry was enough to prompt both parties to pass this legislation.
Hopefully we can get Republicans to improve their environmental voting record on a more regular basis, and not just on big obvious bills like this one.
By the way---I referenced this post on my blog www.green-sexy.com for an article regarding the partisan nature of environmental votes. Thanks!
Sublet Clothing: stylish and eco-friendly {Green Daily}
Mar 28th 2008 1:20AM Very cool. I am going to have to make sure to keep this store a secret from my wife---she'll drain our bank account! She goes bonkers over bamboo clothing!
The Shift: a movie and a movement {Green Daily}
Feb 3rd 2008 1:53PM I hope people don't become oversaturated by all the celebrity voices promoting Earth-friendly issues. I commend them, but I also worry about exposure issues. At least the movie doesn't just seem to focus on "scare-tactics" and "gloom-and-doom" scenarios, but does seem to have a message of hope to it as well. It will be interesting to see this film when it comes out.
Hey---we've added you to our blogroll at www.green-sexy.com. Keep up the good work!
