Jan 24th 2008 8:56PM He may get his wish, the American $600 - $1,200 'bail-out' cheques (which are going right on the US national debt credit card) just wiped almost a full 2 percent off the value of the dollar in one day.
Oil had been trending down in the face of a US recession, but government/fed intervention (while being a short term band-aid) is totally screwing the dollar...hence the price of oil.
