Feb 1st 2008 1:31PM The EV1 was the car every one wants today it makes the Volt look like a green wash joke and in production volume the EV1 could be produced for under $7000. Had GM pushed the EV1 their stock price would look more like Toyotas. Factories for producing plugin electrics cost only a fraction of what an automated engine plant costs. The Chinese and the Indians will do it and GM will not get the chance to catch up. Amory Lovins showed them what to do in 2004 but they didn't listen. Jan 16th 2008 10:43PM I think this is the end of Tesla being able to get things on time and good quality from Lotus. Tesla should hookup with Amory Lovins and use his methods to build their own body.
