Jun 17th 2008 2:38PM japanese manufacturers currently do not have automatic diesels in small suvs and cars... thats because diesels are sold mostly in Europe where manual is preffered option.
Thats going to change from next year when Honda is introducing AT on new Accord diesel and Toyota will next year introduce AT on all new 2.2l d4d engines (auris, corolla, corolla verso, avensis, rav4)....

Actual article states that the car will be larger than Panda, which is larger than 500.
It want be tiny, it will be cheap.
And FIAT has already produced a lot of very cheap cars, like (shudders) Palio...
