May 11th 2008 12:57AM For city patrol a prius or escape hybrid costs less then what a fleet impala or crown vic costs, Gets better MPG and doesn't need a second battery or alt added since they could simply tap into the battery for the hybrid system.
Meeter maids need to drive NEVs.
For interceptor vehicles if they ran just a few 330Ds from BMW that would cover everything they need and still get 40 MPG. Plus the 330D is faster in all aspects then a crown vic.

May 9th 2008 7:12PM according to the ATF your allowed to make a few gallons of moonshine for personal consumption a year. To make any more then that you need a permit from state and federal sources.
Even if its not for human consumption and you make less then 10,000L or G forgive me i dont remember you still need a permit but you must render it not fit for human consumption which means you have to add gas to it. Thats why cheap cooking wines have tons of salt in them that way they are not taxed

May 7th 2008 8:03PM i really hate green peace. What we need is carbon captioning and modern nuclear. Right now all the nuke plants in this country are 40-30 years old. Modern technology is much more environmentally friendly and safer.
Combine that with solar, and wind and water well as geothermal, and wave power. When the renewable sources isnt giving enough power to the grid the coal plants kick in as well as the nuke plants.
OF course you cant turn off a coal fired plant because it would take 3 days to get back to temp but you can greatly reduce its power hence use less coal. And turn is up when demand is predicted to increase.
I dont know if you guys know this buy Oregon Washington, Idaho and Montana all could use geothermal power.
