Jul 18th 2008 9:57AM "BOB LUTZ, YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!
See those designs.....their all getting green lighted by Lutz.
This guy is the Midas of the auto industry.
I just hope it's not too late for GM. "
What are you smoking?
It is too late for GM. It has no future in it's current state.

This remark redefines understatement!

GM tells the Feds that the Volt and plug-ins aren't going to help with CAFE {Autoblog}
Jul 10th 2008 8:05PM "Although GM isn't trying to skirt tougher regulations, it is their goal to set "reasonable perspectives" with regulators. At a time when GM is struggling to survive (and they are not alone), the CAFE noose just may need to be loosened a bit."
Yeah Right! What a lot of bollocks! The E85 farse was solely to skirt CAFE regulations. Rest assured that GM will find a loophole to exploit if it, if is at all possible. GM's problems were not and are not caused by CAFE rules past or present. Why should CAFE be changed because GM is struggling. GM has only itself to blame for it's problems. If anything the noose should be tightened not loosened!
Buy Toyota badges... from GM {Autoblog}
Jul 9th 2008 1:58PM "There was pressure on the Japanese to open their market to American made cars...something that still hasn't happened."
That's a load of bollocks! The Japanese don't want GM crapboxes and neither does anyone with even half a brain.

Jul 7th 2008 6:03PM "It's people like you who buy new Camry and Corollas without giving worthwhile cars like the new Malibu a passing glance. Give credit where credit is due; its really not that complicated!"
Thanks for that paperback pyschology! The main reason why so many people buy Camrys and Corollas is because they or someone close to them have been burned by GM thrash. The Malibu is the best effort GM has made in half a century but it is merely okay thats all. It is not in the same universe as the Camry. So, give credit where it's due and GM does not deserve any credit. It's really not that complicated!
Is it me or is the assh0le division of the GM Fan Club out in force on this thread?

Jul 6th 2008 9:12PM "The longer General Motors deliberates, the longer it's going to get beaten by competitors who have product ready to go right now."
Don't bother GM, you are 'beat' already. Are they serious, 2012? Is there anyone with a clue in GM and if there is who is holding them back? This car (ugly as it is) should be everywhere NOW! But wait! the Camaro is about to debut! Talk about taking a knife to a gunfight!
"Too little too late. Apparently, the AVEO is a POS, and if the new sub-compact from GM is similarly junky, it won't sell."
CR called it 'a miserable little car'!
Way to go GM!
GM stock drops below $10 per share {Autoblog}
Jul 3rd 2008 9:54PM That far off light at the other end of the tunnel is an omcoming train(wreck)! GM is doomed, DOOMED. Nothing can save it now except CH11..maybe, and it's only a maybe.
Stock under $10.00
Market share under 20%
Market cap under $b8.0, well under Toyota's 2007 profit!
Cash burn is like an arterial spray.
Not one single decent affordable car that ordinary people could buy in a line up of 50+ models over 8 car brands.
GMAC, Allison, and all the other family silver already sold.
Thet are rapidly going broke. Even Wagoneer says they are cash okay until the end of 2008. What about 2009?
If they move fast and file now, they might survive and emerge from CH11 in better shape.
If any of you good folks out there depend on GM for your livelyhood, you better batten down the hatches and sound battle stations because it is going to be rough. 4 decades of shoddy management, brainless decisions (Fiat, Saab), greedy employees (not just UAW), lousy build quality, dreadful cars and abject denial are coming home to roost.
Now it's (quasi) official: Chevy Beat to U.S. {Autoblog}
Jul 3rd 2008 5:37PM Don't worry fans, Clueless Motors will be BK long before that miniture snowplow gets here!
