May 12th 2008 7:46PM GoodCheer; "simplicity and purposefulness of the original. Those are the things that make it beautiful to me." Exactly, and they were done with a designer and engineer, not one or the other but together. So, your answer and your question are wrong.

ZENN claims they will launch EEStor-powered EV in fall 2009 {Autoblog Green}
Mar 30th 2008 12:14AM I really don't care what powers it, it is another example of a crappy unappealing product. If they could put a bit of design into it to make it more then an assembled POS and actually interesting visually I might be tempted.
Why do all these companies not understand that the 'appeal' is a big part. UGLY.

Air Car coming to America by 2009-2010, will cost $17,800 {Autoblog Green}
Feb 21st 2008 5:07PM Air Car coming. How many have they built and sold anywhere yet? US market next year?
Bill: "aptera is not a car!" Correct!, aptera is a vehicle! with 2 passengers, side by side seating, will undergo crash testing, and be way better, with a top speed of 95mph, then a NEV. It really isn't a car, nor a motorcycle.
Wonder if they could air power an aptera.

Dec 22nd 2007 3:40PM Tundra side impact: The door beam is over 2 times the strength of a "normal" car door beam. How is that not good? seems to be ALOT better than the federal standard requires on ALL passenger vehicles.
Ever see a race car? indy type, formula-1. Why is it that those cars are made of the same materials, are as light, go way faster and as safe as can be, but NO WAY can this be? please.

Dec 22nd 2007 12:40PM Uh, did anyone read about the AIRBAGS, SAFETY STRUCTURE, and the regulations that the aptera EXCEEDS? crumple zone? 45 inches of it up front.
Safety is the primary focus, equally important as efficiency.(LS2/LS7)
Will not be sold in colder climes. Snow is a no go for 3-wheelers, duh.

Nov 5th 2007 9:02PM Uh, GoodCheer, the problem is EXACTLY the design. It looks and feels and works like a big POS. please, the thing is beyond stupid. Sad that it doesn't have to be, but is.
Why do you think he is dumping (pun intended) on it so much?

Aptera series hybrid will have 1,000-mile range {Autoblog Green}
Oct 18th 2007 9:47PM Chris, that may be true on the weight issue but the overall vehicle weight is lower. i.e. you are not starting with four and trying to make three work.
Of course the whole thing could/might be improved by using 4 wheels. However, do you know the high-cost of entry into the 4 wheel vehicle market?
Finally, one persons "weird look" is someone else's idea of beauty.
