Autoblog Green Podcast #24 {Autoblog Green}

Jul 9th 2008 3:21PM Ditto on iTunes. I haven't unsubscribed, so what I see is just the ones I have previously downloaded and no new episodes.

I have also complained before that the recent episodes had a *blank* release date. Did anyone else have that problem before the current problem?

Ford asks, DOE delivers: U.S. will spend $30m to fund PHEV development {Autoblog Green}

Jun 12th 2008 9:26PM Let's at least swap the order of the numbers: $130 million for PHEVs, 86 for cellulosic, and 30 for fuel cells. That seems like a way more sane priority scheme.

Hang with Ed Begley Jr. and save big $$ on a new electric bike or scooter {Autoblog Green}

Apr 18th 2008 7:19PM Unfortunately getting to Chatsworth from the Bay Area would use a lot more carbon than is justified.

Also, I have written down that Bike to Work Day is the 15th (http://bayareabikes.org/btwd/index.php) around here, and in any case, how does 3 days constitute a week?

Silver lining: CARB creates huge new market for plug-in hybrids {Autoblog Green}

Mar 31st 2008 9:23PM I missed the earlier post about their vote since you forgot to file it under EV/Plug-in and I only subscribe to that subset.

I agree with some that a plug-in hybrid with a very short all electric range (or heck, does it even have to have any all electric range?) is a pretty poor substitute. But the large numbers of vehicles if the manufacturers go that way mean that there should be a non-trivial reduction in greenhouse gases.

In other words, it's disappointing, but not as bad as it could have been.

California Air Resources Board set to weaken ZEV Mandate tomorrow {Autoblog Green}

Mar 28th 2008 3:59PM Well, it looks like they compromised on a 70% reduction (which they spin as 3 times more than staff recommended). The numbers are complex, so that if there are a lot of one kind of vehicle there don't have to be so many of another.

See http://www.arb.ca.gov/newsrel/nr032708b.htm

California Air Resources Board set to weaken ZEV Mandate tomorrow {Autoblog Green}

Mar 26th 2008 8:35PM Well, it's already too late to comment electronically with CARB, since there cutoff was noon today. If any of you can be there in person though, that would be great.

How are the members of CARB elected/appointed? If they really do this insane thing how can we replace them with sane people?

Paris 2008 preview: pricey Lumeneo Smera to be released early 2009 {Autoblog Green}

Mar 13th 2008 4:22PM I was interested until the price. Even in the low $20K's it might have a chance, but at $31K minimum? Unlikely.

Does it hold one person or two (front/back)? If only one, then lower that even a bit more.

Want the iMiEV in the U.S.? Sign the petition {Autoblog Green}

Feb 21st 2008 4:11PM I have a deposit on the Aptera, but like I said when I signed the petition (#248), I'll buy an electric vehicle once there's one available that costs under $30,000 and has a real world 80+ mile range. A roof, at least two seats, and acceptable safety are also requirements. The most important factor though is actually selling the darn things.

Autoblog Green Podcast #19 - Chicago Auto Show 2008 wrap-up {Autoblog Green}

Feb 13th 2008 11:44AM Your podcasts are *still* showing up with bogus dates, unlike everything else I subscribe to.

Autoblog Green Podcast #18 {Autoblog Green}

Jan 29th 2008 6:45PM These continue to show up in iTunes with strange dates. Actually, in iTunes, the date column is blank for the most recent 3 episodes. Please fix it.
