Earth Day: How far must you drive your hybrid before it pays off? {Autoblog Green}

Apr 23rd 2008 9:35AM I didn't check them all, but looks like you are mixing old and new EPA numbers comparing the Civic EX with the Civic Hybrid.

The regular Civic gets 25 City and 36 Highway. You have 32 for City.

In the AutoblogGreen Garage: 2008 Chevy Tahoe Two-Mode Hybrid {Autoblog Green}

Mar 25th 2008 7:37AM If you're bringing an 18' trailer it isn't camping.

The Prius should be able to carry a tent, cooler, and a couple of sleeping bags just fine.

If you have four kids, this is an acceptable vehicle.

What cars can we get today with 35 mpg? {Autoblog Green}

Dec 18th 2007 10:47AM The '08 EPA numbers are not what will be used for CAFE requirements.

CAFE and the EPA number were once the same, but were unrealistic. CAFE will continue to use the old "unrealistic" numbers.

Also, this is an AVERAGE. Every car must not get 35mpg the average of all a companies cars must be 35mpg or higher.

Cheers.

Continental: "Fuel-saving tires might be dangerous" {Autoblog Green}

Nov 14th 2007 11:28AM That sounds like Loser-talk coming from Continental. They need to look at this as a challenge and create tires that are responsible towards the environment AND safe for the consumer.

At least I know Continental doesn't have this vision and Michelin does.

Guess who I'll buy my next tires from.

Oct 23rd 2007 10:44AM Incorrect:
"Honda recently stopped selling the Civic hybrid..."

It was the Accord hybrid they discontinued as it had no serious fuel savings.
