PGO Hemera is unveiled in all its classically-styled glory

A few months back at the Paris Motor Show, French automaker PGO was set to unveil its Hemera sportscar, though our scribes at the event came away empty handed. We're unclear as to whether or not the Hemera did indeed make its debut in The City of Lights, but it matters little now, as all the official details on the new car have finally surfaced. Powered by a 2.0-liter four cylinder engine from fellow French automaker Peugeot that's been tuned to run on compressed natural gas, the Hemera is reportedly capable of reaching the sprint to sixty in under 7 seconds thanks to its ultra light weight of just 980 kilograms (2,160 pounds). A total of 140 horsepower from the mid-mounted engine is funneled through a five-speed manual transmission, allowing for a top speed of 200 kilometers per hour (124 mph). We like the looks too, which seem to be an shooting-brake-style evolution of the classic Porsche Speedster that the automaker mimicked with its Cevennes roadster.

I'm not really sure it's fair to call that "ultra light weight". Not that that's heavy, but it's only 200# lighter than my Civic, which was built for low cost, not to be as light as possible.

This is a marvelous nice sport green car, it is the same architecture as the eco-fueler that is on the u.s.a market since 2 years now and that absolutely nobody talk about even if it's a green car that is available on the market for few money, 20 000$ and pollute very few and is made in america. So everything that supposedly everybody wanted here and when it's real then nobody want it because people are here to confess past sins and use the green car to confess sins about destroying society, economic, mother nature, etc. They talk barrely about cars, they use that subject to 'change ' society so they can fit in it later on.
With this bad habit of talking of green cars while the real subject is past sins then all the entire market is upside down and , chatters, car owners, car manufacturers, journalist, politicians, banks, scientists, car engineers, are in a deep depression and change ideas and traditions each weeks instead of keeping their basic personnality for a lifetime. This is what i call and 'energy crisis' . i mean people change ideas fast in a time of crisis because they don't know how to confess and to who to confess, so they panic and lose their basic education and behavior in society and adopt all kind of utopic theories.
Me my basic behavior is to order on internet, then go see in a showroom a car that im interrested in buying and if this one is available to see , i will go see it. Rear engine, 5 speeds, light body construction and stiff chassis is green and natural gas is cleaner and cost fewer then gasoline. Just the tank cost more but nothing is perfect.

Why the heck do they make it so ugly?? The rear half in particular looks dreadful. Who on earth would want that parked on their driveway?

This is what happens when you start with a Porsche 356 front and let a child style the back end. Other than the Porsche queues, this car has zero redeeming features. Maybe it could be saved if you chopped off everything above the top of the doors and made it in to a speedster.

Not sure if I'm comfertable with the busy design, but it'll do.
I'm happy they're building sports cars like this, because it's something I've been wanting for ages. A sporty car ought to get it's speed from being light and small, not a massive engine.
Oh, and please be cheap too!

It reminds me of an old Porsche from the front end, while the remaining exterior spells out Alfa Romero, but still it would be nice to see something completely different and practical
than your ordinary generic runabout.
