The "first unlimited mileage electric car" from FOSH is a no-show

UPDATE: read about the FOSH hoax here. Also, links to FOSH have been removed.
On Friday, we alerted you to the upcoming unveiling that was supposed to happen on Monday of what was purported to be a new electric car like no other. Yes, this was to be a vehicle that could completely reinvent the auto industry, break all the laws of physics and cause small bunches of daisies to protrude from the gun barrels of armies everywhere. Indeed. Well, the appointed time of the unveiling came. And went. No car, no perpetual motion and no daisies were to be seen. Instead, visitors to the website of FOSH Automotive, whose name is not an acronym for "full of sweet honey" but rather is derived from the names of the four individuals who make up this braintrust, had a new message awaiting them.
The company, who apparently were unaware of the large number of people who might be interested in a gas-free, unlimited energy car for $25,000, didn't actually have any pictures or video of their vehicle featuring "some of the sexiest curves and doesn't resemble any electric car you have ever seen." Instead there is a new message that says that, even if their revised unveiling on one of two television networks falls through, next Monday at 9 PM CST there will be a "live video feed" available on their website. We would love to cover that event but, unfortunately, the entire AutoblogGreen staff has a game of tennis with a lovely family of sasquatch booked for that evening which we really can't re-schedule. Perhaps a rain-check? Thanks to Julie, Moshe and Stuart for the tip!

Not to mention they are now saying the car will cost $50k not $25k.

There were supposed to be two models, one at 60K, and one at 30K (slated for release 2 years after the 60K car). So, taking your claim at face value it looks like instead of 60K it is going to be 50K for the next car coming from Tesla, which is a good thing.

I would cover it for you but I'm cutting my toenails that night.

What these guys must have tried to invent is an "unlimited hype machine." But they surely won't be the first.
Move to Second Life already ...

Let me guess. Venture capitalists have time to put their money in up to 8 PM next Monday.

While, disappointing, not that surprising. Lets hope other electric vehicles (Volt) and storage (eestor) actually offer what they are claiming.

Their claims are ridiculous. Solar panels are just too weak to recharge a car battery, even a light commuter car.

Umm, guys. I don't know if you can see the forest through the trees here but I'm going to put it on the line and venture to say that this is a hoax. FOSH basically says that everything that is an issue with an alternative car is perfect (unlimited, free energy source, sexy hot curves, reinventing the industry and all for a meager $25K!).
I'd say you are playing right into their hand by even reporting on them.

Maybe it's a bunch of young wanabes that succeeded in spying all the latests patents in new discoveries in battery electric technologies and be the first before regular manufacturers to collect the rights on a patent like sony or microsoft. Like a tricky battery that recharge with heat, electricity, solar, regenerative breaking, fuel.
