Video: Cool new ad for Lexus hybrids
"One day a car will come along that is powered very differently. Dramatically enhanced performance will be combined with lower CO2 emissions... that day is today." The video above is a new ad for the Lexus Hybrid Drive. It's pretty cool. The car is invisible! Lexus is going to spend 6 M pounds on "national TV, landmark billboard, on-line, and magazine activities" on these ads. Go below the fold to see the print version.

yeah i saw this ad many times on CNN international for about 2 weeks now, both the 1 minute and 30 second version.
in the end it says the lexus's eu website (lexus.eu) at the bottom.
quite a good ad with the transparent car. very good filming techniques there :)

Given that Toyota have been building hybrids for about a decade, I'd be more impressed if they actually were building a car that was invisible...
Though I could see it getting into a lot of accidents.

Does Europe get those craptastic LED headlights?
Audi already stated that the R8 LED headlights were 6500K CCT
In the Rebel white LED family, the CRI is the lowest at the highest white point. (cool white 4500-10000K CCT, 70CRI).

A headlight assembly with all neutral white would basically mimic the current HID lights. (the binning ranges from 3500-4500K 75CRI)
An all warm white would almost be indistinguishable from incandescent/halogen lights (binning 2670-3500K CCT 80CRI)
