Video: Paris Hilton in a Prius
Hybrid Hummer designer Paris Hilton was seen with "friend" Adrian Grenier of Entourage in a Prius. The two drove off in the hybrid after going to "For the Love of Honey" art show by Louis Carreon. When Paris was designing her hybrid Hummer, she said "I like hybrids, but a lot of them aren't that cute." So Adrian, if you are reading this, Paris does not think your car is cute.
While Paris has had a few, small problems while driving, her representative says she always wears her seat belt. She does buckle up in the video but she puts the shoulder strap under her arm. I guess she did not want to fuss her dress. Below the fold is a video of Adrian talking about some green things he has going, which seem to more and more include Paris.

Putting the shoulder strap underneath your armpit is hardly better than not wearing a seatbelt at all. In an accident, your head and upper body will be flung sideways toward the person next to you, possibly causing injury to both. In the case of fashion floozy Paris Hilton and her "entourage", that may be no great loss.
But it ought to give YOU pause. A safety device is not magical; only works if you follow the instructions on how to use it. If that interferes with your dress, wear another one.

If she choses not to wear her seatbelt properly, who exactly is she bothering? Nobody. For all of you nanny-state, safety gestapo, why not make cars really safe? Mandate digital speed governors that control speed through satellites. No matter how hard you press the accelerator, the car travels at a speed the city, state or federal government deems, um, safe.
