Embargo leakage: First images of the Ford Fiesta for Frankfurt

As Frankfurt is the biggest auto show in the world, it seems only fitting that with only three weeks to go before show time the press embargoes should start breaking. Actual photographs of the new Ford Fiesta concept scanned from a German magazine have now turned up on the interweb showing the "kinetic" little car in all it's glory. Apparently Ford will be making the official Fiesta announcement on Friday, August 24.

I love how ford can take a decent looking car like the Mazda2 and beat it with an ugly stick with no remorse.

In my opinion, the Mazda2 and the Ford derivative are both kinda ugly :)
Both very functional, though, and I'd consider buying one if they had an E85 or Diesel version.

I was really worried about Ford making an uninspired B-segment car, releasing it in the US, and Mazda not releasing the Mazda2 here. It's the first time I can say this, but Ford did better than Mazda on skinning this car. I hope it ends up on our shores. If the Mazda2 makes it as well, all the better. If Ford makes this as nimble as Mazda will make the Mazda2, I'll be lusting after this little guy.
