Hey, another event offsetting CO2 emissions
It seems that if you organize some kind of big event and you want to give at least a layer of green paint to it, there's nothing like carbon offsetting. Such is the case for the Tourism World Organisation (UNTWO) meeting which is being held October 1st in Davos, Switzerland. The UNTWO recommends to all the participants to contract CO2 offsetting schemes, both for the travel to the organisation and the hotel stay.The UNTWO is also participating in an upcoming United Nations meeting on Climate Change. According to its president, Geoffre Lypman, the organisation wants clearly to send a message claiming that carbon offsetting can be an easy way to help the environment, accompained with "adaptation, alleviation and new technologies".
Nevertheless, such an event has a special significate: Tourism is responsible of a remarkable amount of pollutants due to travel and at least the initiative is set to encourage minimising the effects.

What Geoffre Lypmanis REALLY saying is that carbon offsetting can be an easy way to help connected people and companies get very, VERY RICH and VERY” POWERFUL!!!
The UN is the most UN-American, ANTI-Freedom and CORRUPT socialist organization the world has ever known. When American officials are in collusion with the UN to circumvent the Bill of Rights via treaty, they are IN FACT committing High Treason and Sedition against the American people!
The freedom to Say these words is UNALIENABLE in the USA because of our Bill of Rights. The UN Charter’s “rights” are really “privileges” given by the government and not the Creator and therefore can be stripped away at any time.
To grant the UN police, military or judicial power (world court) is truly ludicrous and indeed frightening.

Right on Tim! You see the truth of it.
I remember in 1970, sitting on the playground at Ithan Elementary School in suburban Philadelphia playing with my magnifying glass burning ants with the sun’s powerful rays (I hear the crowds of greenies saying see -- he just proved all we need to know -- psycho torturing little creatures da da da da da...). Understand, now, I was six years old and a boy with a magnifying glass learning about life and death, mercy and cruelty, and, of course, physics and science. In my life, this was a step in understanding the nature of nature and the nature of man; and the nature of me. Every boy must understand these things to become a man. In that process of understanding, in fact just in the process of living, man will do damage to his environment; period. No getting around it. Even more so when he thinks he is bringing justice to his earth; but is mistaken. It strikes me as ironic that people with militant neo-liberalism mindsets rant and rave about SUV buyers or CAFÉ standards or you name it. Yet have little desire to do something that would reduce pollution and emissions in this country in one fell swoop. More than anything else that could be done to significantly reduce American’s negative impact on her lands this one would. 12 (really many more) million illegal immigrants have a massive carbon footprint on this country. In fact they are not conditioned with a green environment mindset at all (often quite the opposite), as have been Americans, at least to some extent, for 40years; an entire generation. That being true, they cause more damage than if these 12 million people were born out of the American culture. In addition, if you want to have kids and expand your numbers here in the U.S, you are going to want this polluting capacity reserved for future generations; new Americans. Just food for thought.
