VIDEO: Another Tesla validation prototype caught in the wild!
An eagle-eyed civilian somewhere in the Silicon Valley area happened to notice a certain electric blue roadster prowling the roads the other day. Fortunately the person had a video camera handy and captured some footage of the latest Tesla Roadster prototype on the move. We're getting closer folks!

I got some stills of a Tesla in the wild on June 2nd. See http://www.flickr.com/photos/mikeweston/tags/tesla/ for the pictures and a little of the story.

Cool! I've never seen the roadster in that color of blue!

The stills that Mike Weston took appear to be of a Validation Prototype, judging by the appearance of the taillights. (The Engineering Prototypes had stock taillights the same size, the Validation Prototypes had custom made taillights.)

Joseph, it was really more of a dark green as I recall.

Thus far I'm aware of two validation prototypes Tesla have brought over from England for testing and demonstration purposes. VP1 is a dark metallic green -- called Signature Green, a color only offered to the first 100 buyers. VP9 is the Electric Blue car.
