Eliica 8-wheeler EV blows away Mitsu Evo in drag race
Thoughts of the Eliica haven't surfaced since the Tokyo Motor Show in 2005. Now it's got a spot on YouTube racing a Lancer Evo. The entire video is in Japanese and much of it features interviews with whom I assume are engineers. But it's still a treat to see an 8-wheel car in action. Of course, you can still view the Eliica Web site with tech movies, some nice photos and a blog that recently showcased the Chevy Volt, but all the copy is in Japanese. The Tokyo Motor Show returns this year (it's a bi-annual event), so perhaps a next generation concept will be on display or there is an update on the vehicle's commercial prospects.

The scene is shot at Mitsubishi's proving grounds, during talks with Mitsubishi management.

When a group of people have genetically the smallest penises in world, they tend to over compensate - just a little. 8 Wheels? Supercar? At nearly 17 feet that thing is about as long as a stretch Hummer limo. Can't wait to see it turn at that speed. "Roll over Eliica, roll over."
A while back AutoBlog.com showed some moron who put a set of jet engines in a MR2. Same problem, different solution. Thanks for making me laugh guys. Oh those wacky Japanese! Oh China? I think you start the ground assault now...

Oh these Japanese with their wacky cars that are immensely successful and one of the causes of the Detroit 3 collapse.

Although it is an odd looking car with 8 wheels, and not entirely practical, the performance and handling is awsome for this luxury land yacht. Lots of power, low center of gravity, lots of traction with those 8 wheels.
Estimates as to what the price would be, if produced, put it in the ultra-luxury price class.

Max i couldn't have said it better. I think that car is awesome! I just watched the whole documentary on youtube! Sadly the U.S automakers are filled to the gills with those greedy "retarded rednecks".
