A greener way to cut down greens

Okay, this news item might seem a little counter-culture to this forum, but remember that these guys have jobs to work and families to raise, too. And if it weren't for them, you couldn't tear down a 50-year-old cottage and build a 10,000-square-foot McMansion on the lot. The John Deere 1070D Eco III harvester features diesel technology that meets new Tier 3 emissions standards and gets best-in-class fuel economy while clear-cutting the forest. Computer programs keep the turbo-diesel engine's speed at the lowest rpm while moving slowly over rugged slopes or briskly on lumber trails. That something Jeep doesn't offer. You have to admit: these harvesters are efficient.
